Marla Manning has been a theater producer and actress for over 25 years. She graduated from Bryn College in Pennsylvania, and now resides in Sisters, Oregon. Her productions have played both nationally (from the cities of New York and Los Angeles, to towns in Florida, Connecticut, and Oregon), and internationally (in the UK cities of London and Edinburgh). Marla’s film and television experience includes working for acclaimed director Robert Greenwald, serving as Director of Development for an independent film producer, and spending over 10 years at A&E Television Networks; while her training includes various classes at NYU and UCLA. In 2016, after having taken on practically every position in developing live theater (particularly director in recent years), Marla founded Silent Echo Theater Company, a 501(c)(3) non-profit located in Sisters, Oregon, whose mission centers around ensuring that educational and transformative theater experiences are inclusive and accessible to all. She produced the award-winning short film, Art (released in 2005), and is excited to reenter the world of filmmaking.
